Are you using honey frames from an overwintered colony that didn’t survive? You can use your best drawn out frames and 2 frames of honey when you install your bees in your colony. However, if your honey frames have been stored outside, those will be very cold. The honey frames will need to be at room temperature. Bring in those honey frames and let them get to room temp. So when you pick up your bees, you can take those frames and put them in the hive when you install. Having cold honey frames is like putting your bees in an ice box. Get the frames in the house and warm them up!
